About Richard

As a forester Richard spent his career establishing forests in the Scottish Highlands, including a spell as president of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. He despairs that, despite any success he might have achieved, he is best known for the immediate sinking of the 42ft pre-war German yacht “Seawraith” when relaunched in Burghead harbour after being restored over many years in his back garden.
